KEYNOTE ADDERESS BY EXECUTIVE SECETARY ON THE REVIEW OF 2012 EDITION OF THE NCE MINIMUM STANDARDS (ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCE)

The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Colleges of education Prof. Bappa-Aliyu Muhammadu has urged stakeholders to do a thorough review that will enable NCE awarding Institutions to produce highly skillful, knowledgeable and professionally trained stakeholders. This charge was given in a key note address at a stakeholder convergence in FCE (T) Gombe to review the 2012 edition of NCE minimum standards for Arts and Social Sciences.

Prof. Muhammadu further called for the need to set benchmark for NCE that shall be guided by the very urgent need for quality and functional education in Nigeria.

He hopes that the review will provide the much needed modalities for more functional NCE minimum standards which will be in line with global best practices.

The conference had in attendance, critical stakeholders in the education sector with technical and financial support from her national and international development partners.
