PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT

The Governing Board of the Commission at its meeting held on 9th September, 2019 approved the creation of three new Departments viz: Special Duties, Procurement and Information and Corporate Services. Consequently, Mr L.B. Aremu was appointed as the Pioneer Acting Director Special Duties. The appointment was with effect from 1st November, 2019.

FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT

  1. Providing line supervision and general management of staff in the Department
  2. Formulating and articulating leadership agenda on behalf of the Commission
  3. Responsible for high-level stakeholders access to the Commission
  4. Providing secretariat services for high level meetings of the Commission
  5. Responsible for the production of Commission’s Annual Reports
  6. Co-ordinating the security apparatus of the Commission
  7. Co-ordinating speech writing and memoranda for the Executive Secretary
  8. Providing protocol services and logistics of the Commission
  9. Responsible for administration of NCE Certificates
  10. Responsible for Sports administration and NICEGA
  11. Co-ordinating the activities of ACTU
  12. Co-ordinating the activities of Staff Clinic and other health matters
  13. Cor-ordinating reports from meetings of Governing Councils of Colleges of Education
  14. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
